New ISTEC spinnaker recovery sleeve now available in South Africa -easysnuffer

Since the ISTEC recovery sleeve has proven itself numerous times during the ARC we are now offering this (further improved) technology for use with spinnakers, gennakers and blisters. The sleeve has a new unique single line two stage hoist. The system begins to hoist from the middle and the rest is automaticallly lifted in turn. This makes it even more more simple to use. When the spinnaker is stowed, caribiners attach the coloured downhaul straps to the spinnaker clews to prevent a hidden twist of the sail in the sleeve. The coloured label along with the coloured lines down the length of the sleeve supports the orientation of the sail inside the sleeve preventing twists. Because of the low resistance aerodynamic shape of the polyester funnel, it can be used in high wind velocities.

When sailing short handed this technology is invaluable.
